Loaded Die
Loaded Die. Loaded Die is the trickster's daily bargain with chance. Once each day, they may name an outcome and roll the world toward it. The smaller the stake, the more reliable the bend. A coin landing heads, a card drawn from the bottom of the deck, a guard looking the wrong way at the right moment — these the trickster can nearly guarantee. Larger stakes grow chancy. A duel's outcome, a judge's verdict, a king's decision: the die rolls, but the world pushes back, and the trickster has lost as many of these as they have won. The gift does not announce itself. The trickster simply knows, in the moment of naming, whether the world will agree. They have learned to listen for that knowing, and to walk away when it is silent.
