Mirror Lie
Mirror Lie. Mirror Lie is the trickster's oldest and most dangerous garment. Speak a person's name three times aloud — not whispered, not thought, spoken — and the trickster can take their face, their voice, their manner, the small habits only a lover would notice. The mask holds for a single night, or until the trickster laughs, whichever comes first. The theft is not perfect. A close friend will sense something wrong at the edge of their vision, a feeling they cannot name. A mirror, caught at the wrong angle, will show the trickster's true eyes. The trickster has used this gift to walk out of prisons, into bedchambers, and once, briefly, onto a throne. They have also used it to say goodbye to people who would not let them go, in the voice of someone they were not.
