Unbreakable Vow
Unbreakable Vow. Unbreakable Vow binds the world to words spoken in earnest. When the chosen swears an oath, the fabric of fate threads itself around the promise and refuses to unravel. A vow to protect is kept — by hand, by hazard, by the silent intervention of fortune. A vow sworn to the chosen by another carries the same weight: the breaker does not simply fail, they are unmade in small, precise ways, until the debt is paid or the breaker is gone. The chosen has seen a king lose his voice for a broken pledge, and a thief lose his shadow. The gift is not kind. It does not distinguish between vows sworn in love and vows sworn in fear. All are held.
